Petra wins her first Connemara Championship
Castlewellan show was as busy as usual with hundreds of horses and ponies from far and near.The weather was fine and the Connemara and Mixed M&M classes were well supported. Petra won her Connemara young stock class and Poppy was second in the 4 and over class. So it was up to Petra to fly the flag for Loguestown and she did a great job winning the Connemara Championship, her first ever.The mixed M&M classes were big quality classes and Poppy was third. Petra again exceeded all expectations and won her class in great style. We faced the pony who beat Poppy in her class in the Championship and beat him and ended up Reserve Champion M&M.
Poppy had to wait for a long time for her Open Ridden class, had a few issues with her show but behaved really well and will live to fight another day.
