THE END OF AN ERA

This day will go down in the history of Loguestown Native Breeds as a very sad day indeed:(
After 23 years of breeding Registered Irish Draughts and from a peak of 5 RID mares and followers in 2000 we are now Draughtless :(
Today we sold that sweetness of a mare Moorspark Leading Lady to a real draught enthusiast in England.
It will be a real wrench to see her go, she has been such apart of the family here for 14 years. A real sweetheart and a big gentle giant, she never pushed her weight around and maybe just as well cause I know who would have come out the worst :)
She always gave her best no matter what she was asked to do. She has consistently produced top quality stock who have commanded top prices both here and across the Atlantic. We thank Lucinda for sticking with it and hope both she and Rosie will be friends and all will go well for them both for many years to come.

I have only started to learn how to break horses in riding and get help from Fiona and others with more experience, when needed. So far all our ponies have been successful under saddle and we hope this continues in the future.
