Marty ends his breaking in style

Marty has had a busy summer of learning and has responded well to breaking, even though he is only a baby and a rather big baby at that. Loading and travelling have been no problem to him and over the summer we have gone to a local riding school to do cross country (including water jumps) and showjumping. He has been superb and nothing seems to be a problem for him once he understands what is required of him.
We thought before we stood him down for the winter we would use the local gymkhana as a final piece of his breaking. He loaded well, travelled well and was not phased by the hustle and bustle of a busy show. He went in a cross-pole class and stood in line with everybody else, he had a double clear round and got his first rosette. So a great end to a great bit of work by Lynsey ably assisted by Fiona. Thank you team

I have only started to learn how to break horses in riding and get help from Fiona and others with more experience, when needed. So far all our ponies have been successful under saddle and we hope this continues in the future.
