Petra wins first time out

The local Ballymoney show was on today and we decided that would be a nice friendly place to give Petra her first experience of a show and all that means. The loading was the first hurdle but Lynsey had already rehearsed this and she loaded no problem. She had never travelled in a horse box so Lynsey kept her company and the driver did his best to give them both a smooth ride!
What a cool cat our Petra is!! Just like her big sister she took all in her stride and after a walk to familiarise her with the show grounds she settled down to the job at hand.
She trotted out well enough but will improve once she understands what she is supposed to do. She won her yearling class then the Young Pony Championship and the In Hand Championship. Not a bad days work, don't think her big sister will do so well tomorrow when we go up against all M&M's but hey we will do our best.
