Poppy has a "Champion" start to the season

Poppy, and her new best mate Vanessa, today competed at the NPS spring show at Knockagh Lodge. An early class meant an early start but the long journey and the long wait was worth it in the end. Her first class was the mixed M&M, the young studs on display took her breath away and she ended up 3rd:) which was really good as she beat a show Champion stallion.
Six hours later she was called in for the pure bred Connemara class (any sex, 4years+). She gave a great show and won well, the young filly who won the 1,2&3 year old class was a nice filly but Poppy was judged Champion in-hand Connemara of the show:)
This is a great start and now she is broken and riding she will hopefully do some workers when Lynsey returns in the summer.

I have only started to learn how to break horses in riding and get help from Fiona and others with more experience, when needed. So far all our ponies have been successful under saddle and we hope this continues in the future.
