Poppy and Petra "go west" and win again.

The show season moved to Omagh and after a relaxed morning we arrived at the show only to realise we had been a little too relaxed!! We parked up, the ladies began getting the ponies ready only to realise our first class was about to enter the ring! A bit of hasty sorting, dressing and running to the arena was not an ideal way to prepare a traumatised Petra for a strong 2/3 year old Connemara class! She had learned a lot from last week and stood up really well and we were happy with 3rd place. She was third again in the "Mare Of The Future" class, a fair result.
Poppy had another mixed bag of classes, Lynsey rode her round to warm her up for the ridden class before she was dressed for the in-hand Connemara class. She won a good class and was Reserve Champion Connemara having been a brilliant 2nd in the ridden Connemara class. This could not have happened but for a fantastic effort from Lynsey and Judith.

I have only started to learn how to break horses in riding and get help from Fiona and others with more experience, when needed. So far all our ponies have been successful under saddle and we hope this continues in the future.
