Derratha Pearl (Pearl)

13.3hh Dun Connemara Mare, born 1997. (M1 11898)

About Pearl

Pearl is a true dun mare with the traditional black points, she is a fantastic mare in every way and a pleasure to have around. She is a super mother, thank you Pam for selling her to us.

Pearl has been a real star for us and has won her share of awards on the few times she has been shown.

She is a real traditional, small, deep mare with great bone and beautiful floating action, just the type of mare we love and the type of mare we aspire to produce and breed from to retain the old Connemara breed lines.

Pearl has had her ups and downs in the past. She lost a beautiful bay filly, Pippa in September 05 to Rhodococcus Equus and took a while to recover. Since then she has given us foals of real quality, two colts and two fillies. So she is here with her two daughters, what a team for the future that should make. Petra is becoming more and more like Pearl as she grows and we have great hopes for her.
